- Indoor: Ran a 2:04.89 800-meter time for a 22nd-place finish at the Southwest Classic...had a season-best mile time of 4:49.66 in a 19th-place finish at the Tyson Invitational. - Outdoor: Registered a season-best 1500-meter time of 4:10.46 at the Open Division of the Michael Johnson Classic...placed 13th in the 1500 meters at the Tellez Invitational.

Indoor: A time of 4:15.26 in the mile was good enough for victory at the Houston Indoor Invitational...tacked on a fifth-place finish in the 3000 meters at the Houston Indoor Invitational with a time of 8:49.76. - Outdoor: Did not compete.
1999
Indoor: Finished 18th at the C-USA Championships in the mile run (4:36.47)...held the team's third-fastest time in that event (4:18.91)...won the mile run at the Bayou City Indoor meet with a time of 4:26.17. - Outdoor: Ran the 800 meters and the 1500 meters...was the team's fastest runner in the 1500 meters (3:55.82)...best finish came at the Rice Opener where he finished second in that event with a time of 3:58.14.
College - Transfer from Tennessee...sat out his freshman year with injuries.
High School
Ran track and cross country at Kingwood High School...two-time all-state performer in cross country...helped Kingwood's cross country team win three consecutive state championships and one national championship...finished eighth at the 1997 Region III-5A championships...finished 17th at the state meet.
