Volleyball to Play Host to Texas State in Mid-Week Match-up

HOUSTON - After winning two Conference USA matches last weekend, the University of Houston volleyball team will look to continue their winning ways Tuesday when they play host to Texas State in a non-conference mid-week match-up. The Cougars will take to the court against the Bobcats at 7pm. The Cougars are 23-3 all-time against Texas State, despite falling to the Bobcats 3-1 last season at the Century Tel Premier Tournament in San Marcos, Texas. Admission to the match is $5. Houston is riding a 2-0 win streak into the match after defeating Tulsa and SMU at the Athletics/Alumni Center last weekend. UH is now 9-7 on the season and 2-2 in C-USA. In the Cougars' two wins, senior Justine Farmer led the team with 33 kills and 24 digs, including a her fourth double-double of the season against SMU. Through 16 matches this season, sophomore Amanda Carson continues to lead the team in service aces with 30 and her per set average of 0.5 ranks 26th in the NCAA. UP NEXT
